Kyrenia Weather!

If you are planning on traveling to North Cyprus and Kyrenia in particular you will no doubt be wondering what weather to expect.  The climate is Cyprus is that of a Mediterranean climate which means that there are long dry summers and short warm slightly wet winters.  The dry summer period is from the middle of May to the Middle of October with winter months being from December to March.  This is also the rainy season and the evening can turn quite cold too.  Spring and autumn are also a great time to visit North Cyprus.  The weather is not too hot and not too cold and there are also plenty of warm sunny days.

The average temperatures in summer range from 26 to 32 degrees C and the average temperatures in winter range from 17 to 23 degrees C.  The average amount of rainfall during summer months is approximately 1mm and during the winter months it can range from between 7 and 13mm.  The temperatures in spring and autumn are approximately 20 degrees C.

If it is your first visit to North Cyprus, May and October are probably the best months as it is not too hot and outdoor eating and swimming are still possible.  Another reason to visit during these months is to view the wild flowers that cover the mountains.  Whenever you choose to visit North Cyprus you are sure to have an enjoyable and comfortable stay and the weather to match.
